Our American style bacon is made from the belly, dry-cured and then hot smoked over beech wood before slicing, to create a crispy style rasher.

Serving Suggestions
Candied Bacon
Simply coat each rasher in brown sugar (raw cane is best) or brush on maple syrup. Then place in the oven. Turn the oven to 180C and check the bacon in 15 minutes. Take it out when you like the look of it!
Burgers
Cook bacon, put in burger. Yum!
Crisp Bacon Truffles
“What!?” you cry! Sure, just give it a go. Cook the bacon as for “Candied Bacon” above. Now “bain marie” (aka “double boiler) your chocolate (this is the process where we place a metal container over a steaming pan (you’ll need decent oven gloves for this)) to melt it without burning (chocolate burns easily) then mix the cooling chocolate with melted butter and cream. Stir in the bacon, chill then form into balls.

285g chocolate (use a cocoa percentage above 50%)
30g unsalted butter
125ml high fat cream (33% and above)
Roll in quality cocoa powder, box them up and give them to friends as a gift! Make sure to keep some for yourself!
